Went for dinner, was hoping to try the chili relleno but they were out. Got the chimichanga combo instead and it was fantastic. The salsa(some spicy) we tried was excellent. Even the rice and beans were done very well. Will definitely be going back to try the chili relleno. My new #1 spot for mexican food in Cedar Falls.

The portions are large! I have loved everything that I tried. The mini tacos and nachos are my favorites!! Best Mexican food in town!! Super great prices as well!

I’m giving this place a solid 5 stars—hands down one of the best spots around! I love the authentic vibes that most places in Cedar/Waterloo just don’t offer. The buffet of condiments is a rare touch, and the meats are bursting with flavor—tender, juicy, and never dry like other places I’ve tried in the area. This spot definitely takes me back home to Cali. Highly recommend if you’re craving real, flavorful Mexican food! Without the servers saying you only get one little cup of salsa the nerve

The food at D'leons is absolutely delicious, my bf and I have had it twice now and we've gotten the chicken tacos, chicken burrito, and their tortas. All have been very good and very fresh! The Agua Frescas drinks are super yummy too. My only complaint is that it is a bit more pricey than other taco shops, but they are open for longer hours than most, so it evens out

I’ve been here two times now and have had their breakfast burrito and California burrito. Love the amount you get for the money- it’s great value and will fill you up! Was a little sad about how the california isn’t saucy- there’s a little pico in there but no salsa, cream, or guac to make it a little wet If you dine in the chips don’t stop flowing and the salsas are good (the roasted red salsa I’d recommend) HOWEVER If you’re an annoying customer like I am- where you like to customize your burrito orders (substitute pico with tomatillo, or add jalapeños, or sometimes extra fried onions), then I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re fluent in Spanish Both times I’ve had a barrier that’s prevented me from customizing my orders or ask about ingredients If you don’t care, know what you always order, or can speak Spanish- this place is has a lot of potential!
